On June 8th, 2018, the world was shocked to discover that it had lost Anthony Bourdain, an individual who had single-handedly inspired, motivated and shaped a whole generation of chefs. Even more, Bourdain helped spark the passion that all travelers, writers and creators share at one point or another - myself included - the need to move out of our comfort zones in order to become a stronger self.
Around the globe, social events were organized to celebrate Bourdain's life and I was fortunate enough to attend an event held by Redlight Redlight where we shared good food, cold drinks and cherished memories among strangers. The evening included a full menu of items featured on the Thailand episodes of his shows A Cook's Tour, No Reservations, and Parts Unknown. with the help of local restaurants Swine & Sons, Papa Llama and Bangrak Thai Street Kitchen, serving up Southern-inspired and Peruvian bites in honor of the late great chef.
